Anyone who uses social media likely got the memo that joking about certain things on April 1 is really not kosher. Still, that doesn't stop folks from doing what they want, including a certain pop star who's now in hot water for a series of posts. Justin Bieber is coming under fire for his pregnancy announcements. Many think it's in poor taste whereas others don't think it's a big deal.

Justin had the Internet freaking out after sharing this sonogram, hinting he and Hailey Baldwin are expecting their first child.

Justin and Hailey tied the knot in a courthouse back in September after reconnecting months prior. "When I saw her last June, I just forgot how much I loved her and how much I missed her and how much of a positive impact she made on my life," Justin revealed about getting together with Hailey who he's known for almost 10 years, Huffington Post reports. "I was like, Holy cow, this is what I've been looking for."

He doubled down with a photo of his wife getting what looks to be an ultrasound.

This series of Hailey baring her belly had lots of people convinced that Justin was in fact telling the truth. Still, many were skeptical as it's not uncommon for people to try and pull a fast one on April Fools' Day.

As it turns out, it was all just a joke.

Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, even chimed in about her son's joke. "Ha ha. Happy #AprilFools ... I'm always on guard and ready for you today," the celeb's mom commented on his Instagram post.

"I am SO looking forward to the day y’all bringing me babies that are 'GRAND'! You're going to make BEAUTIFUL children and be GREAT parents when the time comes!! Maybe just don't call me Grandma. Or Nana. Or Nanny. Or ... OKAY I DON'T KNOW IF I'M READY!"

Lots of people flooded JB's Instagram post expressing how inconsiderate and insensitive he was -- and why people need to stop making pregnancy jokes on April Fools' Day.

The reaction to Justin Bieber's pregnancy joke hasn't been one-sided. Even women who've experienced pregnancy loss are chiming in to say they aren't bothered by the joke.

Well, alrighty then.

Personally, we think pregnancy jokes aren't in the best taste, but different strokes for different folks, we suppose.
