Bravo TV's Christian Reality Show Idea Is a Glorious Blessing

churchAndy Cohen might be at it again. All that guy has to do is wave a wand at a group of shameless women and wham, reality show gold. TMZ's reporting that Bravo is looking to cast a new show, one that would be based off the ABC series GCB. Keeping with the theme, they're looking for faithful Christian women in Calabasas, California who are depraved juuuust enough to go on reality TV and fundamentally ruin their lives and those of their family members. This show is a godsend.

Bravo has experience turning network dramas into reality gold -- I always forget that the Real Housewives franchise was a riff on ABC's Desperate Housewives. 'Member that? I know. It seems so long ago. Point is, they know what they're doing when it comes to turning scripted shows into unscripted messes. And I mean "messes" in the best way possible. The Housewives is the best reality series out there. I can't get enough of their drama.

That's why I have complete faith that this Christian pegged show is going to be glorious. If they cast anyone like Alexis Bellino from the Real Housewives of Orange County, who, let's be honest, is a bizarre role model for anyone devout, the irony is going to spray out of our TV screens like water out of fire hose.

The producers are supposedly looking for "accomplished and upscale women in the Calabasas area who have fabulous lives, are very social, are involved in the community, but also have a very deep commitment to their faith," so if you know anyone ... please pass this along.

A family that prays together stays together goes on reality TV together has a chance at public humiliation and a little bit of stardom ... together.

Will you watch this new show?
