If Jennifer Lopez's 'Dance Again' Video Is Too 'Skanky' for You, Shut It Off! (VIDEO)

Jennifer Lopez in new video 'Dance Again'Watching Jennifer Lopez's new music video for her latest single "Dance Again" is quite the learning experience. In less than four minutes, you basically get an eye-full of PDA between the diva and her BF, dancer Casper Smart. The images of a writhing "orgy" and the couple blind-folding one another might be a little much for some people, but the message isn't only about SEX. At least for me, the takeaway is that La Lopez's clearly in love and feeling alive ... again, after her sad divorce from Marc Anthony.

But not everyone sees it that way. Dan Gainor, a rep from the right-wing group the Culture and Media Institute, calls it a "skanky new video [that] shows how desperate she is to retain her fame despite her fading relevance." Uh, what planet is this person living on? I thought J.Lo was a top 40 hit-maker-turned-American Idol judge and hot celeb mama we can't get enough of?

Sounds like Gainor's the desperate one. He's apparently mostly pissed off that J.Lo premiered the video on "family-friendly show" American Idol. (Has the guy seen what real American idols' -- i.e., Madonna, Prince, Britney Spears -- music videos have looked like in the past, oh, I don't know, 30 YEARS?! Guess not.) He told Radar Online:

Even the supposedly family-friendly TV shows like American Idol are never safe in the hands of Hollywood. A video filled with an enormous orgy scene of dozens of people groping one another serves as a backdrop for such high-class lyrics as 'Let me open your treasure chest.' Such sexualized videos aren't appropriate for any children to watch, including Lopez's own twins.

Wow, how original -- blaming the entertainment biz for the bazillionth time! As if it's J.Lo's or AI's job to babysit America's morals and values. What a joke. J.Lo's video may be sexy, but it doesn't cross any lines or cover any territory we haven't seen before in pop music. Which means it isn't inappropriate for airing on American Idol. There's no reason for her or for FOX to apologize or feel intimidated by remarks like Gainor's.

Let's try this novel idea on for size ... If Gainor or other parents don't like it, there's a simple solution: TURN IT OFF.

If you missed it, here's J.Lo's sexy new video ...

Do you agree with Gainor or is he whining about nothing?
