Lindsay Lohan on 'SNL': Smash Success or Swan Song? (PHOTO)

Lindsay Lohan leaving SNL rehearsals
So we're about 3 hours away from Lindsay Lohan hosting SNL. Oh my god, I can't breathe! Good lord. If I'm this nervous, how nervous must Lohan be?? I mean, tonight is basically going to make or break the girl's career. No pressure!

Rumor has it she'll try just about anything to make this gig a huge hit. Not only did she stalk Lorne Michaels to get the gig and ambush Jimmy Fallon on live TV for help, she's apparently planning on making her opening monologue MUSICAL.

Ambitious much?!?!

It's not like Lohan can't sing -- she actually has a good voice, as I recall from her brief foray into pop stardom a few years back. But yikes.

Expectations are already at fever pitch. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that THE WORLD will be watching her tonight, and unfortunately a lot of those eyes will be waiting eagerly for her to fall flat on her face.

Personally, I'm rooting for Lindsay, and I know I'm not alone. Still, the truth is, people get more of a kick out of watching stars crash and burn than they do from seeing down and out celebs make stunning comebacks.

Hopefully Lindsay will be able to block out the bad mojo and knock her monologue (not to mention the rest of the show) out of the park. If tonight is a train wreck, though, it won't be entirely her fault.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were meanies out there with Lindsay Lohan voodoo dolls.

Do you think Lindsay Lohan is going to rock SNL tonight?
