Bruce Springsteen & Jimmy Fallon's 'Sexy and I Know It' Cover Is Comedic Gold (VIDEO)

bruce springsteen and jimmy fallon 'sexy & i know it'Bruce Springsteen may be 62 years old, but there is no question New Jersey's favorite son still has it. He proved that ten times over when he appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his new album due out Tuesday, Wrecking Ball. In addition to performing two new tracks, "Death to My Hometown" and "Jack of All Trades," The Boss did a little tribute to LMFAO with Fallon. (Because from adorable toddlers to grandmas, rigged-up Halloween houses to Madonna, who hasn't gotten in on the LMFAO action these days?)

Jimmy took the stage as Neil Young and strummed his acoustic guitar, launching into a folk version of "Sexy and I Know It." Soon, a Born in the U.S.A. era Bruce joined him, and HILARITY ensued. Here's what I want to know ...

Who was supposed to be RedFoo, and who was supposed to be SkyBlu?! And does the Boss actually know how to shuffle? Of course, I had to watch the performance to find out ...

OMG, so funny! I was just waiting with bated breath to see how they'd tackle the "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle" part, and the fact that they did it straight-faced was PRICELESS. Worth the entire performance right there. Oh yes, and of course, we have to give the Boss props for his bicep flex. How Jersey Shore of him! Love it! Definitely a stellar follow-up to their cover of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair."

But hold up, there's more than meets the eye here. This was a smart and calculated move! By channeling LMFAO, he killed two birds with one stone -- get his Boomer fan base feeling young and in turn, up for rocking out (ideally to Wrecking Ball) and at the same time, appeal to a younger generation that might not have otherwise had buying a classic rocker's new album on the top of their Tuesday to-do list. I'm telling you -- those wiggles were golden. The Boss may have been a legend, but now he's a viral success! And we all know, these days, that's pretty much the wisest way to wrack up record sales.

How much did this crack you up? Are you a Bruce fan?
