Military Singing Sensation Rocks ‘The Voice’ in Season 2 (VIDEO)

angie the voiceThe blind auditions continued last night on The Voice season 2 and we got to see some major talent take the stage. There was Lindsey Pavao who killed it with her rendition of Trey Songz's "Say Aah" and there was Angie Johnson, the Air Force Staff Sergeant who rocked out to Pat Benatar's "Heartbreaker." Both women were really fun to watch, but did you think there was something familiar about Angie?

Turns out, we've seen Angie before. She was the lead singer in the army band that covered Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" whose videoed performance went viral back in August. Now she's on The Voice, and man, I can't wait to hear more from her.

It was host Carson Daly who said he'd seen Angie's YouTube video this summer and tracked her down and asked her to audition for The Voice. Seems like Carson's got his finger on the pulse of the show because Angie seemed right at home on that stage last night.

The judges agreed that she belongs on the show and Cee Lo Green nabbed her up for his team. He was the only one who spun his chair around but I'm sure he doesn't regret it one bit. With her natural talent and nerves of steel, this Sgt. is going to go far in the competition. I mean, once you've been in a war zone, a little singing competition is nothing to be afraid of. Right?

Angie's already made her country proud once with her tours in the Middle East, and now she might do it again with a mic on a stage. Go Angie, go!
