'The Grey' Reviews Say Liam Neeson's Chilling Performance Is a Must-See (VIDEO)

Liam Neeson in 'The Grey'
I seriously love Liam Neeson. His performance in everything he does, from Schindler's List to my personal fave, Taken, is just absolutely amazing every darn time. Now, Neeson is back once again with new thriller The Grey, which hits theaters nationwide today.

Directed by Joe Carnahan, The Grey follows Neeson as he leads an unruly group of oil-rig roughnecks through the Alaskan wilderness after their plane crashes and leaves them stranded. In my mind, Neeson + battling harsh elements in the face of danger = an immediate must-see. But what do the critics think? Check out The Grey reviews after the jump:

Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News:

Director Joe Carnahan's great adventure follows Neeson’s lead and stays steely to the end, even as its grizzled winners take nothing.

Ian Buckwalter, NPR:

The Grey has more than a few surprises in store. It has its excesses, true, and Neeson does do his fair share of looking tough and taking out big bad wolves. But both star and writer-director Joe Carnahan have done better this time than in their last joint effort, the execrable time-waster The A-Team.

A.O. Scott, New York Times:

[The Grey] is a fine, tough little movie, technically assured and brutally efficient, with a simple story that ventures into some profound existential territory without making a big fuss about it.

John Anderson, The Wall Street Journal:

The Grey -- certainly an adventure film but one with a spiritual ingredient that is both surprising and fiercely resonant.

Cha. Ching. I am SO in! I don't know if anything could top Taken for me, but one thing's for sure: The Grey sounds pretty chilling (pun intended). Take a look at The Grey trailer, here:

Do you think Neeson is a hunk? Will you be seeing The Grey?
