Kim Kardashian's People's Choice Award Proves She's Invincible

Kim KardashianI don't care if you love her or hate her, you have to admit that Kim Kardashian is amazing. Here she goes and drags the world along by the heartstrings as we watch her fall in love and get married, only to find out 72 days later that we were all likely duped in what's largely believed to be the world's biggest sham marriage.

She rose to fame as a result of a sex tape and her ample derriere, and to propel herself and her family to the heights they've reached since she's ... well, no one can figure out exactly what it is she's done. She doesn't act or sing (at least very well), but somehow this "talent" has brought the Kardashians to the brink of billionaire status. Everyone should hate her, right?

Of course some do, and there are still those pesky people trying to get her off the air with their petition, but by and large, the public loves and can't get enough of her, bad behavior and all.

Need proof? How about that People's Choice Award she won last night. That's no small feat. It's a vote by the people, and the people clearly love her. She beat out Gene Simmons and Kathy Griffin. She wasn't there to accept the award, but still, the fact that it was given to her after everything that's happened is pretty amazing.

Then, there's her latest gig: Hosting Live With Kelly alongside Kelly Ripa January 23. That's a big gig. Already they've started a love fest on Twitter.

Kim Tweeted: "So excited, Ive been wanting share this for weeks now, it was announced today, I'm co-hosting @LiveKelly 1-23-12! Can't wait 2 see @KellyRipa."

Then Kelly responded: "I can't wait to see you! Xoxoxoxo."

I can't wait to see it either, and I predict that ratings will soar that day.

Personally, I find Kim and her family fascinating, and all the wedding drama just makes me want to dig in and analyze and watch what happens next even more. I can't put my finger on why I like them, I just do. And I think even those who profess to detest Kim and her kin actually secretly do too as much as they want to deny it. (If you're about to protest that YOU don't, ask yourself why you're reading this article.) How else to explain the fact that her popularity just can't be killed ... unless perhaps she's really a vampire?

What do you think it is about Kim Kardashian that makes her invincible when it comes to the public's love?
