'X Factor' Winner Melanie Amaro Could Be the Next Beyonce (VIDEOS)

It's official: Melanie Amaro has won The X Factor. The 19-year-old college freshman from Florida came out on top during last night's season finale, which featured performances from big time stars Justin Bieber, Leona Lewis, Pitbull, Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder, and 50 Cent

Amaro's got to be ecstatic, but I feel sort of bad for her. It's no secret that the show, created by American Idol vet Simon Cowell, hasn't exactly blown up here in the U.S. like it did Britain. While I haven't been tuning in week after week, I do know that this season's been pretty explosive, Nicole Scherzinger accidentally made a 13-year-old cry hysterically on stage, and co-judges Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid look dayum good sitting behind a judges' table.

Now that there's a winner, though, my interest has peaked. Want to know what all the hype's about? I know I do.

Let's take a look at Melanie's breathtaking performances from last night's finale

Here she is performing "All I Want for Christmas Is You":

I don't care who's singing that song, I love it every time. I just can't help but bounce along to the beat. Can you say Mariah Carey diva in training?

Next up, "I Believe I Can Fly" with R. Kelly:

I officially have the chills.

Yes, those two performances are bomb, but they're NOTHING compared to her rendition of Beyonce's "Listen." Amaro auditioned with this song way back at the beginning of this whole shebang, and if you ask me, she may sing it better than Lady B herself:

I'm speechless. There's no doubt in my mind that Melanie is going to be more than just the winner of The X Factor. This woman's got a voice that's going to sell some serious records! I leave you with her most shining moment of 'em all -- her crowning moment as winner of The X Factor:

What do you think of Melanie Amaro? Did you watch this season of The X Factor?
