Darren Criss' Holiday Shows Make All the Gleeks Swoon (VIDEOS)

darren criss performing at joe's pubThese days, I can barely picture Glee before Darren Criss came along. I know the show was wonderful back then, but any Gleek has to admit that ever since the charming Warbler belted his way into our hearts as Blaine Anderson, all things New DIrections have gotten even better. Criss has major charisma, and that's something he treated fans to when he was the featured performer in the Yale Whiffenpoofs' "Sing Out, Raise Hope" benefit for The Trevor Project and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation at Lincoln Center and then a secret benefit show at Joe's Pub in NYC this past weekend.

The secret show -- which was a Toys for Tots pop-up charity event -- was announced just five hours before curtain, and as you can imagine, hardcore fans flipped out and rushed to the venue to attempt to grab one of 100 tickets for $10 (plus a donated gift). But for their loyalty and generosity, the fans were rewarded.

There's a reason Criss already has such a crazed fan following ... The guy's got major charisma! Not that other Glee stars don't. (They're all pretty much insanely magnetic on the small screen.) But Criss has got that ... je nais se quoi that he radiates when performing. I really do think he's got what it takes to be a huge star.

Seems like the powers that be in the entertainment biz agree. As soon as he wrapped shooting on Glee, he flew to Manhattan to take over for Daniel Radcliffe in Broadway's How to Succeed in Business WIthout Really Trying.

And thanks to the power of other people's smartphones, you don't have to worry that you weren't there to witness it firsthand. Let's check out a couple of his performances, shall we?

First one from Lincoln Center, which really makes me laugh ...

Ha, so entertaining, right?

And then this one, from Joe's Pub ... which I'm convinced any Gleek will LOVE.

Aww, love his little speech at the beginning. So cool to know he really values his fans. And we all know they can't get enough of him ... for great reason!

What do you think of Darren's performances?
