Whoopi Goldberg Shows Us How to Fart on TV in Style (VIDEO)

Whoopi GoldbergWhen it comes to live television, anything can happen. Trips, spills, word-fumbles, you name it! However, by far I'd say THE most embarrassing thing that could happen to a woman during a live taping is passing some gas. Today, an interview on The View with Homeland star Claire Danes got sidetracked when co-host Whoopi Goldberg let one rip.

Yup, not one of those silent, unnoticeable ones either. Whereas I'd be absolutely mortified (read: would hide my face for a solid year), the 56-year-old didn't seemed too fazed by the incident.

Her reaction to the big stink, though, was absolutely priceless.

"Oh excuse me! I think I just blew a little frog out of there!"

A little frog? REALLY? Am I the only one who has never heard that little phrase before?

Whoopi handled the whole situation well, though. No blushing, no leaving the set, and no threatening to do it again if someone crossed her the wrong way. Things could have been so much worse. Goldberg's relaxed manner could be because she's no stranger to passing wind on live TV. Yup, she told Dr. Oz last May that she does it all the time!

Kudos to the co-host for picking back up with the interview pretty quickly, and not allowing her flatulence to completely ruin the whole shebang. An even bigger kudos to Claire! Sure, she chuckled a little bit, but then immediately joined Whoopi in getting things back on track. Meanwhile, Joy Behar can't stop snickering. If I were sitting there, I probably would have been right with you, Joy. Let's face it: passing gas in general is funny, but letting one go on live TV (and everyone noticing) is hilarious.

What do you think of the way Whoopi handled her little mishap?
