6 Signs Kim Kardashian’s Image Is in Trouble

kim kardashianPoor Kim Kardashian. The woman seriously cannot catch a break lately. First, she gets skewered because of her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries. Then she has to deal with her ex-publicist's claims that said her marriage was a sham to begin with. Now she's being sued by some hair removal company for ads she's doing for another hair removal company. When will it end, Kim, when will it end?

Apparently Kim is the face of some laser hair removal system called TRIA, and in her ads, she claims, "You'll never need razors or shaving cream again." But, the competing de-fuzzing product says that, actually, you're supposed to use TRIA in conjunction with shaving. Blah, blah, blah, legal jargon, legal jargon, Kim's screwed again.

Kim's really in the crosshairs these days -- and it actually might affect her image/business. If she wants to save face, homegirl's going to need to take a break from the spotlight for a bit -- and here are six reasons why.

Her divorce. The most obvious of all. It seems like the downfall of Ms. Kardashian started a few weeks ago when she filed for divorce from Kris Humphries less than three months after their wedding. Not sure if she expected everyone to immediately side with her, since, well, she's had few problems with her fans so far in her career, but it didn't really work out that way. People were genuinely pissed at Kim for sort of deceiving everyone with her "fairytale wedding" business.

Her people are turning against her. As I mentioned, her own ex-publicist is one of those people. Just when it looked like things couldn't get much worse for Kim, her former publicist, Jonathan Jaxon, talked to the New York Post about "staging scenes" for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. AKA, the show, like all reality shows, is a big, fat lie.

Her lawsuits. There's a few of them. In addition to being sued over this whole laser hair removal business, Kim's actually suing Jonathan Jaxon for, to put it bluntly, blowing up her spot. Isn't she tired of all this legal crap? It seems exhausting.

She's bailing on scheduled appearances. All the heat is clearly getting to Kim. A few weeks ago, while in Australia, she backed out of an appearance she agreed to do (that would have earned her $153,000 in one hour) to go deal with her divorce. That's a lot of cash to lose out on.

Everyone's mocking her. Yeah, yeah, everyone's always mocked the Kardashians, but it's taken on a whole, new level lately. In addition to the expected SNL spoofs of her, people like Michael Buble, Carrie Underwood, and Brad Paisley have hopped on the train.

She needs a break from us -- and we need a break from her. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing, and Kim is living proof. The past year has been too much Kardashian, too often. Let's take a little hiatus, let us miss her a bit. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

All it would take is a few months of Kim holing up in some gorgeous, remote island (I hear Seychelles is lovely) for the public to get back on her side. And I think it would do her some good. Lord knows she could use the break -- and Lord knows she can afford it. I mean, $153,000 an hour?

Do you think Kim Kardashian should keep a low-pro for a while?
