'Housewives' Kim Zolciak Shows She's No Kim Kardashian

Kim Zolciak Kroy BiermannMark this one on the calendar. I feel sorry for Kim Zolciak this morning. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star married football playing fiance Kroy Biermann on Veterans Day. And faster than Nene Leaks can throw a tantrum, the Kim Kardashian komparisons began.

Now that's just not fair! Just because of the timing of her wedding? Really, America, they might share a first name, and OK, they're both reality stars. Plus there is that double K thing going on with Zolciak's new hubby's name, and like Kris Humphries, Kroy is an athlete. Aaaaaand I should stop myself before I really dig these newlyweds a deeper hole . . . Yes, the comparisons are inevitible. But come on there's plenty of evidence out there that Kim & Kroy can go more than 72 days!

1. Kroy Biermann Jr. Kim may not be with the daddies of her older kids, but she's getting older now (and she admits it). Single parenting is not the for the faint of heart . . . or the women who have to apply make-up with a spackle knife to look reality ready.

2. No Long Engagement. They didn't drag things out with the "well, should we really do this?" Once Kim knows what she wants, all that matters is whether she can get the couture ready in time. They were sure enough to throw together a wedding lickety-split. That's saying something, isn't it?

3. Kroy Hasn't Run Yet. Now I know that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement. But let's just stop and think about this. Kim's chain-smoking, awful singing, and machinations are all out there. On TV. There are no skeletons in that girl's closet. And he still married her. If that's not love, I don't know what is.

4. That Ass. We've all heard ad infinitum about Kroy's tight ass by now -- it's what attracted Kimmy-poo in the first place. I'm sure you can bounce a quarter off of the Atlanta Falcons star's sweet tushie. And is that so bad? We all dream of keeping that lustful chemistry in the marriage. A few months back there was a major survey out touting how much healthier men are after marriage (although they pack on the pounds post-divorce). Chances are he can keep the very thing that attracted Kim in the first place . . . for 73 days anyway.

Do you see Kim & Kroy going the distance? Are the Kim Kardashian comparisons unfair?
