Canceling 'Kourtney & Kim Take New York' Would Be Huge Mistake

kim kardashianAs a fan of all things Kardashian, I can't say I'm surprised by the latest development in Kim's divorce saga. In fact, I'm shocked that it's taken so long. According to an insider, E! may drop Kourtney & Kim Take New York, set to premiere November 27. Yup, see ya later Kimmy! To add insult to injury, the network is also planning to stop showing Kim's fairytale wedding special. How krazy! How killer! How kold!

For Kim, a canceled show would mean no more reminders of what once was with soon-to-be former hubbie Kris Humphries, not to mention two months of filming down the drain. For us, this would mean the hunt is on for an alternate not-as-entertaining Sunday night reality TV fix.

Whether or not you think the marriage was a sham, there's no doubt in my mind that if this rumor is true, E! is making a massive mistake.

Let's start by checking out the newest Kourtney & Kim Take New York promo:

Watching this proves that this season was on track for excellent ratings: Drama, fights, and Kourtney and Kim's killer wardrobe! How could the people at E! not see that?! All Kardashian enthusiasts want to watch what really happened between Kim and Kris to make the marriage fail. If Kris is partying as much as it seems in the new promo, then we want to see where Kim was while he was out and about. I want to know what kind of arguments the couple had, whose fault it really was (cough, Kris, cough), and soak in some Scott Disick dollar-bill-stuffing-style drama.

Kim and the whole Kardashian clan have millions of fans. Anyone with that kind of following brings with them a massive TV audience. What other sitcom or reality show would E! expect to slide into the prime time TV spot promising Kardashian-sized ratings? I don't know if one even exists.

And is anyone thinking about poor Kim? She's already had enough heartbreak, she doesn't need to lose her TV show, too.

Do you think E! should drop Kourtney & Kim Take New York?
