Lindsay Lohan's Jail Sentence Was Shorter Than Her 'Playboy' Shoot

lindsay lohan horrifying makeup progress report hearingWell, that was quick! Lindsay Lohan showed up ahead of schedule to serve her 30-day sentence for violating her probation by being terminated from a community service assignment at a women's shelter. Although she wasn't supposed to surrender herself until Wednesday and seemed to be plenty busy spending her time doing things like re-shooting her full-frontal nude pictorial for Playboy, the actress arrived at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California at around 8:48 p.m. PST last night. And ... around 1:30 a.m. this morning, she was promptly released. Crazy, right?!

There are probably a multitude of reasons she wasn't really forced to fulfill the sentence, but the official reason is jail overcrowding. The sentence stated that she won't have to serve an additional 270 days in jail (as if she would have had to anyway!) if she performs just 12 days of community service and attends only four psychotherapy sessions before December 14. Pathetic!

At least she's assigned to do community service this time at a MORGUE, but how much you wanna bet she doesn't even show up? If the most jail time she actually has to serve is mere hours, why would she even bother? Clearly, it should now come as no surprise to the judge, her parole officer, or any of us that Lindsay thinks she's above the law.

I can't help but think that if she wasn't a Hollywood has-been (because, come on, that's really what she is at this point), things would play out MUCH differently for LiLo. They'd find some cell they could throw her in! What's the point of handing down a 30-day sentence if in reality, the criminal only serves 4.5 HOURS? Or if, on average, Linds has only had to serve about 20 percent of her FIVE jail sentences since 2007. Sheeze, it makes you wonder what kind of crime she'd have to commit to end up actually serving her full sentence! Or if she could get away with just about anything at this point.

Oh well. Ultimately, jail or no jail, Lindsay will end up paying a hefty price for her misbehavior. We all know she's going to end up hitting rock bottom or prematurely ending her sad excuse for a life. I just wish her trainwreck wasn't moving in such slow motion, because it's excruciating to watch.

How do you feel about Lindsay getting away with less than 5 hours in jail?
