Dina Manzo Chooses Teresa Giudice Over Her Sister

Dina ManzoAt last Dina Manzo has spoken out about the current drama on The Real Housewives of New Jersey ... and it will be the last time she does so. So, listen up. In a blog post full of common sense and wisdom that illustrates why she isn't on the crazy show, she weighs in on her relationships with Teresa Giudice and her sister, Caroline Manzo, and her decision to leave the show.

She said she was offered "a SERIOUS amount of money to sell her side of the story," but decided to post it for free on her personal blog, because she feels her fans deserve an explanation. She began: "Yes, It’s true I decided to distance myself from ALL the housewives once I left season 2 ... "

While she primarily took the high road and neutral road and talked about how detrimental all the drama is, she did get in a few digs. "It’s a shame this TV show used to be about our lives and now some lives are just about a TV show. That’s not how it should be ... " she stated. Hmmm, wonder who she could possibly be talking about?

As for the drama into which her name has been dragged as of late, she clearly sided with Teresa. Caroline was adamant on the reunion show last night that Teresa was the cause of the rift in her relationship with Dina. When Andy Cohen asked why they were estranged, she said, "Do you really want to know? I'm looking at it," as she looked right at Teresa with rage in her eyes.

Dina, however, stated that "Teresa had nothing to do with me staying away from everyone." She said she comforted Teresa after something went down with Caroline and Jacqueline Laurita while filming season four (SO dying to know what that something is!), and that she spent some time with her after that.

She mentioned the drama with her and Caroline and I told her that if this is all about a joke in a book (and she assured me it was) that’s not enough for me to hate the mother of my God daughter and a friend of 15 years. Was it necessary to write that stuff in her book? probably not but I don’t think it was written with malice either. We are all guilty of joking a little too much now & then ... ”Teresa jokes” were all over this season, everyone of them took their turn on talkin smack.

She also hints that Caroline's behavior on the show is what has caused the rift in their relationship. "I don’t like fighting, I don’t like drama, I don’t like confrontation, I don’t agree with ganging up on someone (one of the other reasons why I left season 2) and I don’t need to share anymore than that."

She does say, however, that she's confident their relationship will be "back to the way it was." I hope so, though I don't see that happening if she stays chummy with Teresa. And I wonder what Caroline will think of this blog post. It definitely reaffirms her spot on Team Teresa, which you know Caroline isn't going to like one bit.

But I have to say that when I was watching part two of the reunion last night, I wondered more than ever if all of it really is just Teresa's fault. Teresa has plenty of issues for sure, but Caroline seems out for blood more than perhaps is necessary. Dina's post makes me question Caroline's behavior even more.

Dina ends her post on a high note by talking about how it would be great if the show turned around and focused on the amazing things women do instead of all the drama, but recognizes that probably wouldn't bring in the ratings. And she's right ... about that and so much else.

What do you think of Dina Manzo's side of the story?
