Shia LaBeouf's Latest Bar Fight Proves He Needs to Chill Out

Shia LaBeouf just can't seem to stay out of trouble. The 25-year-old, who has been in his share of scrapes over the last few years, is back in the news today after a crazy bar fight in Vancouver, Canada over the weekend.

LaBeouf was reportedly partying on the Granville Steet nightclub strip when he got booted out of a bar around 12:30 AM for getting in some sort of argument with another patron. Security sent them both outside, at which point Shia was punched repeatedly in the head by his aggressor—who, for some odd reason, removed his shirt beforehand.

Oh, man. Sucker punched by a half-naked dude, that's gotta suck.

It's clear from the paparazzi video footage that Shia was ready to exact his revenge on Angry No-Shirt Guy, but someone managed to restrain him, saying, "Better lay low right now." Yeah, better lay low before the TMZ cameras plaster this embarrassing moment all over the—OH DEAR TOO LATE.

While everyone's probably had their own version of a regrettable night at the bar, this isn't exactly unfamiliar territory for Shia. Let's see if I can remember all his various booze-related issues to date:

• November 2007: arrested outside a Walgreens in Chicago after he refused to obey a security guard's request to leave the premises

• March 2008: busted for unlawful smoking in Burbank, California

• July 2008: arrested for drunk driving after getting hit by another car in an accident which seriously mangled his hand

• February 2011: got punched in the face outside a bar in L.A.

The common theme here seems to be bad decision-making, wouldn't you say? It's not even really like he's the one causing trouble, it's more like he's going out and getting wasted and having stupid things happen to him. If he's going for a bad boy reputation, he seems to be doing it all wrong. I mean, there's really nothing remotely cool or badass about getting busted for being drunk at a Walgreen's—or getting in a fight where you lose, you know?

Plus, he's kind of a major creeper who can't shut up about his past sexual conquests.

If you ask me, Shia could use a few quiet nights at home contemplating what sort of Hollywood legacy he really wants to create for himself. If his goal is to follow in the esteemed footsteps of folks like Andy Dick, he seems to be well on his way. Then again, if he actually wants to be taken seriously as an actor, it might be time to chill out for a bit before he ends up in jail . . . or worse, dating Lindsay Lohan.

What do you think about Shia LaBeouf's latest craziness?
