Emmys 2011: These Nominees Really Want To Win!

emmy awardI have high hopes for the Emmys tonight ... just under five hours away! I feel like television is on a comeback and we are all here to witness it. And I love that we kick off the Fall season of shows with all of our favorite television actors in one auditorium. The list of nominees was actually released back in July, but why pay attention to it back then if we don't need to buy a dress for a possible acceptance speech? So today I thought it might be fun to see, pre-ceremony, who is shaking in their boots ... awaiting their turn at a chance to walk up on stage and collect their very own personal Emmy.

What I am most curious about, as I look at this list, is how many of us actually watch more than two of the shows listed per category. It is kind of great how different the selection is; for instance, I am guessing the Games of Thrones viewer is going to be very different from the person sitting back to watch The Good Wife.

Below is the list of 10 of the most popular categories of awards that will be given out tonight. Do you have your favorites?
