Pippa Middleton Has Us Desperate for a Scandal

Pippa Middleton out in London
Well, it's five months after the royal wedding and we're still a world obsessed with Pippa Middleton. In case you haven't noticed, she's now a regular staple in your favorite tabloid magazine, she often graces this here blog, and now there's ... a movie being made about her.

Odyssey Videos, a British film production company that has an entire library of DVDs "celebrating" the Royal Family (read: making money off of), is saying that the only subject really exciting their buyers is a film about Duchess Catherine's younger sister, Pippa.

So, guess what? They're making one! And guess what else? It's going to royally suck.

Adrian Munsey, founder of the film company, says, "She was such a tour de force, holding her own on Kate’s wedding day and looking after those small children. Pippa is the beautiful girl-next-door who every woman wants to be. We are rushing a 50-minute documentary dedicated solely to Pippa into production straight away."

Okay, first of all, "rushing" isn't really a verb I like to hear when I'm learning about a documentary being made. I'm more partial to phrases like "researching thoroughly" or "delving deeply into the subject matter." Second of all, Pippa isn't even going to be interviewed in this documentary! She doesn't talk, 'member? It's part of what keeps our fascination with her afloat.

In case you don't remember, there was a little documentary on TLC about Pippa last month entitled, "Crazy About Pippa." Did I watch it? Obvs. Was it informative and delicious? Mehhh. I mean, it was great, staring at the spray-tanned Brit for 60 minutes, learning little tidbits I didn't know here and there. But it was kind of redundant and they interviewed relatives of hers who didn't even know they were relatives until just before the special!

Not quite sure what Odyssey is going to be able to dig up that someone else hasn't already. I mean, that's, like, the gossip golden ticket these days, isn't it? Dirt on Pippa or Kate? It's yet to be unearthed -- and Lord knows people have tried -- so I'm kind of doubting there's some gem lurking out there that we don't already know about.

But will I watch this documentary? Without question.

Would you watch a Pippa Middleton documentary? Do you like Pippa Middleton?
