'30 Minutes or Less' Reviews Say Funny Cast Is Surprisingly Unfunny

30 minutes or lessThere's no doubt in my mind that Jesse Eisenberg is the reason why The Social Network was so crazy successful. He's super sarcastic and hilarious, otherwise known as my kind of guy. So you can imagine my excitement that not only is he back again in the new movie 30 Minutes or Less, but he's also teaming up with funnyman Aziz Ansari. Sounds like a box office smash to me!

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, 30 Minutes or Less opens in theaters today. See what the critics have to say in their 30 Minutes or Less reviews after the jump:

Lou Lumenick, New York Post:

30 Minutes or Less may be tasteless, moronic, and lacking in any redeeming social value whatsoever. But for me, at least it was a gut-bustingly funny -- perhaps this waning summer season's ultimate guilty pleasure.

Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly:

30 Minutes shouldn't work. But it does. A stoner movie without the spliff smoke, it's proudly, sexually lewd with no cushion of boyish sweetness.

Mark Jenkins, NPR:

At a mere 83 minutes, 30 Minutes or Less might seem able to deliver on the promise of its zippy title. Instead, this slackers-go-gangsta comedy demonstrates that less than 90 minutes can be a very long time.

Claudia Puig, USA Today:

30 Minutes wallows in stupidity without making the bromance bonds believable.

Peter Travers, Rolling Stone:

30 Minutes or Less is all about the zigzagging rush of the ride.

While the critics may be split on this one, I'm still sold on it based on the cast alone. Watch the trailer for 30 Minutes or Less here:
