'Glee: The 3D Concert Movie' Reviews Prove It's for Gleeks Only

Glee 3dAs difficult as it is for me to believe that mid-August is finally here and summer's ending, I'm ecstatic because it means it's finally time for Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. Yes, I'm a 20-something Gleek, and I'm proud of it. I've been bummin' a bit without my Glee fix the last few months, and this is exactly what I need to hold me over until Season 3!

Rachel, Kurt, Finn, and the entire crew team up for their big 3D premiere directed by Kevin Tancharoen. I have no doubt in my mind that I'm gonna love every song-belting moment of it. See what the critics have to say in their Glee: The 3D Concert Movie reviews after the jump:

Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel:

Haters, head for the door. But Gleeks? Get your Glee on.

Jen Chaney, Washington Post:

[It] would have worked just as well as a heavily promoted special television event broadcast over Thanksgiving weekend.

Christy Lemire, The Associated Press:

Is it calculated? For sure. But it does what it needs to do to please its target audience. Everyone else may as well surrender to the juggernaut.

Alonso Duralde, Reuters:

If you lack even the tiniest amount of fondness for Glee, this movie isn't going to win you over. But if you prefer your Katy Perry songs sung by Lea Michele or the Warblers, you're in for a seat-dancing good time.

I think of it this way: I'm not a fan of the whole Twilight saga, so I'm not going to hop on the bandwagon when Breaking Dawn comes out. Everyone has different tastes. If you're a Glee fan, then this movie is specifically made FOR you. Sort of like the main event, the Super Bowl of glee club, and I can't wait!
