Mila Kunis Thinks It's Your Fault You're Fat

mila kunisOkay, I'm not denying that Mila Kunis most likely worked her butt off (literally, ha!) to lose 20 pounds for her role in Black Swan opposite Natalie Portman. I don't doubt that one bit. But I still think she committed a fan fail when she revealed the big diet/exercise lesson she learned from the experience to British Glamour: People who say they can't lose weight are lying.

Oh, snap. That was harsh, Mila!

I get where she's coming from. It's classic I-did-it-and-so-can-you thinking, the same kind of attitude you get from people who've recently given up vodka or gluten.

Says Mila: "I'm a huge foodie, I love food. But when people say 'I can't lose weight', no, no, no, you can! Your body can do everything and anything, you just have to want to do it."

Maybe some of Mila's fans will take that as a pep talk. Maybe? Or maybe not ...

I feel like women who are spending hours sweating at the gym and counting every calorie and still not seeing any progress (or frustratingly slow progress) are going to read that quote and say, "You know what, skinny b**ch? I was gonna let Friends With Benefits slide, but that's it! I'm never forking over my hard-earned cash to see you in a movie again!"

Adding insult to injury is the fact that Kunis was never even fat to begin with -- not even the slightest bit overweight! She had to lose 20 pounds because she was playing the most stereotypically emaciated character on the planet: A ballerina.

Plus, it's a lot easier to lose weight when you're already thin and your metabolism is in decent working order -- oh, and you're 27 years old.

It could very well be that the majority of Mila's fan base is male, and I'm betting they're not going to give a rat's rear what she thinks about weight loss.

Still, if she ticks off all the female readers of British Glamour, it's going to be a lot tougher for their boyfriends to get a Mila movie fix. You have to figure that up until now, it's been easy -- "Sure sweetie, I'll take you to see that chick flick."

Back to Anne Hathaway and Reese Witherspoon, boys.
