Bieber & Gaga Love Brightens Dark Days for Orphaned Berry Children

If you haven't heard the devastating story about the orphaned Berry children yet, get out the hankies. It's one that's almost too unbearable to fathom. On July 3, the Berry family of five was headed home to Houston, Texas, from vacation, when another car struck the Berrys' car head on. Parents Joshua and Robin Berry were both killed, leaving their three kids orphaned. Even more sad, their sons, Peter, 9, and Aaron, 8, were left paralyzed while thankfully daughter Willa, 6, only suffered broken bones. Excuse me while I weep for a few long minutes. It's just awful.

There is one glimmer of hope amid this horror story, and that's the fact that many celebrities are actually using their Twitter accounts and their star power to raise money for the kids' medical care. Now that's a good way to use one's influence! It makes me so proud.

Several of our favorite celebrities have joined the #showyourhearts Twitter campaign to raise awareness and funds for the Berry children. They are urging people to join the campaign, change their profile pictures, and pledge money to help.

Justin Bieber not only changed his profile pic (as did his mom and manager Scooter Braun), but he's been tweeting about the @BerryChildren campaign all week. He is also retweeting all the other celebrity tweets for the campaign. All this support is huge since Bieber has a Twitter following of over 11 million fans.
