Sofia Vergara Doesn’t Mind if You Fantasize About Her

sofia vergaraAnyone from the cast of Modern Family has my vote in life. I don't even know what that means, but I'm trying to say they're the best at everything. The Latin bombshell who plays Gloria Pritchett on the show, Sofia Vergara, is no different. She's hilarious on MF, very charming in interviews, and seems to have a very solid sense of self. She lends her voice to the upcoming Smurfs movie, and while promoting the family flick, Sofia talked about being viewed as a sex symbol in Hollywood.

Just when I thought I couldn't love her anymore, she says:

I love it. Of course, it’s great at my age. It’s fantastic. I think that everything that is positive and good helps out with your career. Why not embrace it and take advantage?

Amen! I am so tired of reading interviews in which actresses say it's so hard being so beautiful. It's like, get over yourself. I'm sure there are limitations to being super attractive, but come on. Be grateful for what you've got. Jessica Biel said that being good looking is a "real problem" and, fine, she's allowed to think that, but I like Sofia's approach much better.

Acknowledging that you were blessed with a hot bod and hot face and that being a sex symbol rocks is what I like to hear. Otherwise it just sounds whiny to complain about being good looking. Hollywood is notorious for being the land of Pretty People, so I can only assume it'd behoove one to be pretty rather than not.

Sofia's got the right attitude. Embrace all the gifts (and non-gifts) you've got and make the best of it.

Do you think being viewed as a sex-symbol would bother you?
