Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake Make Patriotism Cool Again (VIDEO)

mila kunis justin timberlakeNo one can accuse Justin Timberlake or Mila Kunis of not doing their part for our country!! In a brilliantly patriotic (not to mention positive press-getting) move, Timberlake and Kunis announced in a live appearance on this morning's Today that they'll both be accepting YouTube invites to Marine Corps Balls. Talk about putting the "stars" in stars and stripes! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

The pair seemed slightly disappointed that they were invited to separate Marine Corps Balls (no chance for double-dating), but otherwise seem genuinely psyched for their upcoming dates. It doesn't completely surprise me that Timberlake would be on board for a plan like this -- after all of his stellar stints hosting SNL, I've come to think of him as a good-natured, spontaneous, up-for-anything kinda guy -- and while I didn't previously have much of an opinion on Kunis, I'm now officially a fan. Friends With Benefits? I'm so there.

I might be jumping the gun here, but I feel like this could sort of re-kindle the relationship Hollywood and the military used to have -- like, way, way back in the day when Bob Hope and the Andrews Sisters (and about a million other celebrities) would go on USO tours to entertain troops stationed overseas. Song-and-dance man that he is, can't you totally see JT spearheading that campaign??

As it stands, this morning's interview could stand on its own as a PSA for the Marine Corps: "Marines have a lot of balls," Kunis declared. Timberlake confirmed: "Marines got balls."

I give it two weeks before somebody puts that on a t-shirt under a picture of the American flag! In fact, maybe that's what JT should wear to the dance ... under a tuxedo jacket, of course.

Are you psyched that Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis accepted their Marine Corp Ball invites?
