Will Rachel McAdams Be the Hottest Old Maid Ever?

Rachel McAdams seems to have it all -- she is adorable, talented, funny, hugely successful, and at the top of her game professionally. She has also been in two serious relationships in the past several years, and she worries about love like all the rest of us did (or do) when we were single.

She told Elle:

[My parents are] still together and still in love. I’m very blessed that way. I had a great example of love in front of me, and that’s probably what makes me such a romantic, because I’ve seen it firsthand ... You grow up and you assume that everyone is like that, and you quickly realize that they’re not, and then you have those days when you wonder if you’re going to find it for yourself. It’s such a hard thing to find. I think it was more that realization that rocked me.

McAdams has been dating British actor Michael Sheen since last summer, but according to their reps, rumors of an engagement are false. At 32, McAdams has her doubts about finding lasting love. So what about the rest of the population? If a completely gorgeous, successful cutie-pie can't find it, can we?

McAdams knows of which she speaks. She was engaged to her The Notebook co-star Ryan Gosling, and wow, I was really hoping the two of them could work it out -- how cute were they in that movie? Honestly, it was the sweetest thing. That rain! That kiss!

OK, I have been sidetracked. But let's face it: What hope is there for us when hotties like Rachel McAdams can't find love?

Truth be told, I have found love and I do feel lucky. It isn't every day that you do find the kind of love that lasts and grows. McAdams only proves that love -- whether you are beautiful, rich, smart, successful, or none of the above -- isn't a guarantee and if you find it, you are lucky, indeed.

Do you think Rachel McAdams' admission is bad for the rest of us?
