Bob Seger to Tour, But Will He Play 'Night Cheese'?

Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band are joining the growing throngs of rockers who continue to tour well into their retirement years. The 65-year-old singer (and Grammy winner/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member) has just announced a new tour to major cities across North America starting in March.

(Those of you too young to even know who Bob Seger is, go put on some sunscreen or something, preserve that dewy skin of yours.)

This will be their first tour in four years, and although venues have not yet been announced, locales will likely include Seger's metro Detroit home base. His 2006-'07 tour featured 10 shows in Michigan, including dates at the Palace of Auburn Hills and Cobo Arena.

A statement released on his official website says that an as-yet-untitled new album is also on the way, and that Seger will be previewing some of this material during the tour. Fans can expect to hear classics such as "Old Time Rock & Roll," but no word on whether or not Seger will perform alongside Tina Fey to share her dairy version of "Night Moves."

I think I'd enjoy seeing this tour, since I love so many of his older songs. "Turn the Page," "Against the Wind," and "Still the Same" are a few of my favorites—how about you?
