Wear Purple for Spirit Day -- See Which Stars Are Doing It

Ryan SeacrestIf you feel like you're in a purple haze today, that's because it's Spirit Day, a day in which everyone is encouraged to wear purple in support of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered (LGBT) youth.

This segment of our population has been in the spotlight after some recent heartbreaking examples of the cruel treatment many face.

Celebrities have come out with passionate support and encouragement for them through the "It Gets Better" campaign, and today many are furthering that support by sporting purple as well as taking to Twitter and Facebook to spread the love.

Here are a few of the many celebrities wearing the hottest color of the day:

Ryan Seacrest's Twitter page is a vision of violet, and he encouraged his followers to follow suit.

If ur curious about these purple profile pics, today is #SpiritDay to end anti-LGBT bullying. Make urs purple here! http://bit.ly/SpiritDay

Though the Glee star is recovering from dental surgery, Lea Michele still promised to wear purple.
