Joan Collins: 'Angelina's Beautiful, Jennifer Aniston Isn't'

God bless Joan Collins for finally saying what all of us have been thinking for so very long: Hollywood actresses are a bunch of dogs. The only exception? Angelina Jolie.

Collins recently shared her thoughts on Hollywood's ugly factor with Britain's Hello! magazine, saying,

I have to say, there aren't that many good-looking actresses around today. I mean, there's Angelina Jolie and there's ... Angelina Jolie. But I can't think of any really beautiful actresses.

Oh man, I KNOW, right? What an incredibly savvy observation. I mean, you could rack your brain all day long and not come up with a single beautiful actress. Natalie Portman, for example. Eva Mendes. Scarlett Johansson. Kate Winslet. Lucy Liu. Halle Berry. So plain and unremarkable, all of them! Not even remotely attractive. Practically Cro-Magnons, really.

You know what I think would be a classy move? If Joan would weigh in on how Jennifer Aniston stacks up next to Angelina Jolie, the woman who stole her damn husband. Oh goody, she did!

Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn't call her beautiful.

I think Ms. Collins has really tapped into a national conspiracy here. Why, oh WHY, do these hideous women keep getting cast in movies? Isn't it devaluing our film enjoyment experience? Hasn't Hollywood lowered its standards over the years, inexplicably turning away the truly beautiful in favor of monstrous creatures whose repugnant looks are ruining the glory of cinema?

As a matter of fact, Joan thinks so.

When I was a kid watching movies, everybody on screen was gorgeous. I think show business has lost a lot of its magic in that way.

Oh, so many things to take away from her wise words. I for one certainly hope that Hollywood takes note and decides, for ONCE, to stop casting women based on their talent, and starts focusing on what's really important: whether or not they look like Angelina Jolie.
