LeAnn Rimes Isn't Proud of Cheating, But What About Eddie Cibrian?

LeAnn Rimes is featured in the October issue of Shape, where they started by talking about her fitness routine but eventually got to the only subject people seem to care about when it comes to LeAnn: the fact that she totally cheated on her husband back in 2008 OMFG HOMEWRECKER.

Shape alluded to the flak Rimes has received over the years, asking if she thought the criticism about leaving her then-husband Dean Sheremet for Eddie Cibrian has been fair. Rimes replied, in part:

"I think any relationship is hard to get out of, and I don't think the way I did it was right. I truly believe there are lessons in it for me to learn."

The interesting thing about the whole LeAnn the Cheater scandal is that most of the finger-pointing seems to have been aimed in her direction. When the rumors started flying that she was stepping out on her husband with her Lifetime movie costar Eddie Cibrian, the tabloids pretty much went totally apeshit and did everything short of calling her a two-timing whore.

But hey, what about Cibrian's part? He was also married, with a BABY. He was such a gentleman in the matter he ended up dumping his wife of 8 years for LeAnn, leaving behind a scorched-earth relationship with the mother of his children, Brandi Glanville.

Glanville, as you might imagine, has never been a big LeAnn fan, and is currently pissed off that her kid got taken to the ER last weekend with neither Eddie or LeAnn bothering to tell her.

It sounds like a generally messed-up situation, with people on all sides behaving badly. But I'd say that as the guy who's got kids to worry about, Eddie's the one who should be taking more responsibility at this stage of the game. It's good that LeAnn recognizes that what she did was wrong, but it takes two to tango.

How about a heartfelt apology from Cibrian, too? Or have we collectively given up on the hope a male celebrity will ever admit he should have kept his dick in his pants?
