Justin Bieber to Star as Troubled Teen on 'CSI'

Does Justin Bieber make anyone else's skin crawl? I am not sure why I have so much trouble with him. He is cute, he isn't a product of a planned Disney takeover, and his music makes my daughter happy — literally she dances around the house singing at the top of her lungs. Maybe it's his hair? Or maybe it's because he is 16 and makes more money than I will have in my lifetime? Jealousy never gets us anywhere, right?

Anyhow ... Justin Bieber might actually win me over if he can pull off his acting debut. I need a different image of him and a punk kid I wouldn't let in my house might be just the thing!

Bieber will appear in the season premiere of the CBS drama CSI

The network says:

"Bieber will play Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother — a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season."

The question now is how on earth are they going to make this 16-year-old baby-faced kid look troubled? I am guessing his acting chops aren't going to pull it off alone, so makeup and wardrobe will have their work cut out for them.

And I suppose we'll see what kind of work ethic this kid's got since he definitely has some serious learning to do. If his tweets are any indication, he is already working to improve his acting skills; just yesterday morning he tweeted, "morning world...we got the acting coach here....learning 'a new craft.'"

Will you be setting the DVR to make sure you catch his acting debut?
