Miley Cyrus Is Doing It to Empower You

Miley Cyrus' new record Can't Be Tamed is certainly getting a massive amount of attention since Miley's wardrobe does not seem to be able to be tamed either.

As the crotch-flashing, ear-tattoo-getting, almost nekkid stage shows have us all gasping about the 17-year-old and her judgment, Miley says she's only trying to empower the ladies.

I just wish she didn't have to empower us by taking off her clothes.

I get that owning your sexuality and not being afraid to show you're a sexual being is very empowering. I believe in saying, "This is who I am -- deal with it" as long as it's not hurting anyone else.

But why does confidence always have to come from flaunting lady parts? I think my boobs are pretty great, but I'd rather have people notice what's coming out of my mouth or my heart than the gals -- no matter how sexy I might feel. That's empowering. Attention to my body parts has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with nature and a carnal desire on the part of the admirer.

If Miley really wants to teach girls about empowerment (which she has, in the past), I'd much rather she not show us her t**s first. That's all.
