The horses might have been the mane event -- sorry, couldn't help it! -- at the 136th annual Kentucky Derby in Louisville on Saturday, but the celebs, including Brooke Shields (who brought the kiddies), Diane Lane, Kim Kardashian, and Paris Hilton, were definite show-stealers. Check out Ashlee Simpson rocking that uber-cute red polka-dot dress, oh-so-proper hat, mini bowler back, and funky espadrilles. (By the way, the winner of the race was the 8-1 contender Super Saver.)

Meanwhile, also on Saturday, a whole slew of stars -- including Justin Bieber, Michael Douglas, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Simpson, the Jonas Bros., and Jay Leno, showed up at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington to bask in the glow of President Obama, who decided to play funnyman for the night, calling out guest Jay Leno as the only star who's likability rating has gone down more than his own and joking about the health care bill and the cast of the MTV reality hit Jersey Shore: “The following individuals shall be excluded from the indoor tanning tax within this bill: Snooki, J-WOWW, The Situation, and House Minority Leader John Boehner.” So, no worries, you're not the only one indulging in that guilty pleasure.

I just have to keep doing it to make sure it's real."
