TSA Keeps Us Safe by Confiscating 5-Year-Old's Buzz Lightyear Toy

You have to be kidding me! In the latest round of airport security insanity, TSA has confiscated a Buzz Lightyear toy from a child. The 5-year-old was forced to surrender his Disney World souvenir to authorities, because as they said, it resembled a weapon.

Don't you feel safer now that you know you're not going to be terrorized by a kindergartner with a green and purple plastic toy?

Little Levi Zilka was reportedly on his way home from Disney World to Pennsylvania when airport security threw his Buzz Lightyear "flip grip" toy in the trash. It had been a gift from his uncle, and his dad said that when he realized what was happening, Levi broke down in tears.

TSA apparently gave the family the option to place the toy in a checked bag, but like so many of us these days, they only had carry-on luggage. So into the trash it went.

That's when David Zilka said Levi started crying. "Once he realized what was happening, that they weren't giving his toy back, he immediately starts just bawling, tears streaming down his face, and crying," he said. "It was all I could do not to break down with him in that moment."

Dude, TSA, get it together. Concentrate on finding real threats, not little kids with plastic toys.
