Teen Busted for Filming Adult Movie in Library

Pop quiz: you’re making a pornographic video, starring yourself. Where do you decide to film the 17-minute scene before you post the resulting footage online? I’ll give you a few choices: the privacy of your own home, a studio devoted to making such films ... or a public library.

If you’re 19-year-old Kendra Sunderland, a former student, you pick the Valley Library at Oregon State University. She reportedly filmed herself masturbating in the library, then published the clip to PornHub where it racked up more than 250,000 views in the first few days.

Students say they heard about the video on a number of social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, and the Yik Yak phone app. According to one student,

My friend sent me a text about it. At first I thought it was a joke. And then all of a sudden it was like, oh no, it’s real. After I realized it was real, I was more shocked that it happened. That kind of stuff you do in private and not in public. Ever.

Another student says she has no idea how Sunderland managed to film the scene without getting caught in the act:

I was surprised someone was in our library doing that. I feel like it’s always packed. I don’t know how anyone could get away with it.

When I read about this, I figured Sunderland maybe hid in a bathroom or something — but the (highly NSFW) photos show otherwise. Uh, wow.

Oregon State University says that while it has security officers patrolling the campus, the large library makes it impossible to monitor every section. A spokesperson points out the logistical difficulty of doing so:

Imagine six floors; 340,000 square feet. It’s used by 30,000 people on average every week.

Sunderland didn’t stay the Anonymous Library Porn Girl for long, she’s since been arrested on a charge of public indecency. It seems like she’s bound to choose more private adult movie locations in the future — but then again, maybe she made enough cash from posting the movie to pay off her court fees without a second thought.

Can you believe anyone chose a LIBRARY for this?
