Missing 4-Year-Old Autistic Boy Found Dead In Pond 2 Days After He Disappeared

Such a tragic and sad story. A 4-year-old autistic boy from New York who went missing from his grandmother's house on Christmas Eve in South Carolina was reportedly found dead, according to police. Jayden Morrison, who was from White Plains, was discovered by police at 11 a.m. on Friday in a retention pond located behind two homes in Little River, which is located close to his grandmother's house.

A medic volunteer reportedly found Jayden wearing just his pajamas and it is believed he drowned in the pond. The horrific nightmare began on Christmas Eve, when the preschooler's mother, Tabatha Morrison, left him by his grandmother's house so she could go to a Wal-Mart to do some last-minute shopping.

The child's grandmother reportedly turned her back on him for one minute and he vanished. The family says his behavior was out of the ordinary and that he's never been out of their sight, nor has he ever tried to walk out the door.

Aside from the fact that Jayden didn't communicate, the family feared the worst because he wasn't at all familiar with his grandmother's neighborhood. And, not that there's any need at all to add more sadness to this story, but here it is: the little boy has a twin, Jordan, who stayed up until 4 a.m. on Christmas morning waiting for his brother to return home.

Everyone searched high and low on Christmas Day, with divers jumping into ponds and even drones, helicopters, and four-wheelers used in the investigation. More than 150 volunteers reportedly took place in the search on Friday.
