Paula Deen's 5 Most Unapologetic Lines From Her Hysterical 'Today' Interview (VIDEO)

Paula Deen This morning Paula Deen made the Today appearance she skipped out on last Friday, addressing allegations of racism that've caused her empire to crumble around her. The celebrechef, who was recently fired from Food Network, opened up with Matt Lauer disputing discrimination claims, saying she believes that "every creature on this Earth, every one of God's creatures, was created equal."

But from there, the Paula Deen Today interview got straight up upsetting. Not just to see her upset, though, but to hear a few of the things coming out of her mouth during the 13-minute segment. For the record, I can't even remember the last time Today gave 13 minutes to anyone.

Let's take a look at 5 of Paula's most unapologetic lines, here:

Would I have fired me? Knowing me? No.

Paula, you're a businesswoman. You raked in $17 million in 2012 alone. Something tells me if you had someone in your kitchen that was tainting your name, you'd let go of them -- 100 percent. Stop lying while you're ahead.

I've had to hold friends in my arms while they've sobbed because they know what has been said about me.

Eye roll.

I go into my kitchens and hear what these young people are calling each other. It’s very distressing for me. I think for this problem to be worked on, these young people are gonna have to take control and start showing respect for each other.

She has a point here, I'll agree with that. In her situation now, though, blaming the way African Americans address one another for her blatant lack of respect isn't going to get her anywhere.

I know my love for people, and I’m not going to sit here and tell everything I've done for people of color.

She's sorry. She wants you to know she's sorry. I don't know if her talking about the good things she's done for people of color would have helped her at this point. It made my heart hurt a bit, though.

I is what I is and I'm not changing ... There is someone evil out there that saw what I worked for, and they wanted it.

OK, this is just a little too much. All of this hooplah isn't happening because someone wants to rain on Deen's parade. This is happening because of the racist comments she made during her deposition. I'm sure that there are bazillions of people who want the empire that Oprah made, but you don't see her crying in a 13-minute segment on Today.
