The Rich Pee On the Poor in California Teachers’ Union Film (VIDEO)

Currently featured on the California Federation of Teachers (CFT) website is a class warfare-promoting eight-minute cartoon narrated by Ed Asner. The film makes the case that the wealthiest 1 percent of  Americans got that way by evading taxes and using loopholes and peeing on poor people.

That’s not an exaggeration, by the way. It actually depicts rich fat cats in suits taking a leak on the 99 percent. Which is kind of ironic, giving that it’s the Occupy Wall Street nut jobs calling themselves the 99 percent that have a penchant for public defecation.

Did Ed Asner inhale some of that helium from his stint in the movie Up!? This is some seriously ridiculous, ham-handed, propaganda-driven drivel. The worst part is that it comes from the California teachers’ union -- your tax dollars at work, ladies and gents, criticizing taxpayers.

Within the first minute of the film: "Over time rich people decided they weren't rich enough so they came up with ways to get richer ... why should I care about other non-rich people? I can hire teachers, safety, waste disposal people who work for me for less money than taxes cost. Then I can keep the rest of my taxes for me."

I’m sorry, but did Asner and the CFT just say that creating jobs is bad? Let’s rub our brain cells together and think about this for a minute ... if people can hire other people for less money than they’d pay in taxes to employ those same people, then it logically follows that they then could hire more people. They may even be able to pay them better.

Those gainfully employed people would then have more opportunities available to them thanks to having some positive cash flow. They could work hard to provide better opportunities for themselves and their children, thus achieving the American dream. Why do these people hate the American dream?

This cartoon is absolutely over-the-top liary about what it means to be an American, how it depicts the wealthy (a.k.a. job creators), and how our progressive taxation system works. The rich pay more than their fair share. You know who doesn't? The 47 percent of Americans who don’t pay federal income taxes. Maybe they should say thanks instead of biting the hand that feeds them.

What do you think? Is this serious propaganda or silly partisanship?
