I'm a twenty-something wife to the geekiest redhead I know and a mom to a one-year-old son, Kyle, who proves every cheesy parenting cliche ever written to be true. I spend my days marketing books at a publishing house and my nights alternating between baking cupcakes I can't eat and watching really awful television (of the CW variety). Other than that, I like my margaritas strong and my mornings to start in the afternoon. They often don't, though, which explains the Diet Coke addiciton.

This week's best baby links! Diablo Cody has a baby, tips on raising a baby girl, and more!

This article claims that new parents lose SIX MONTHS of sleep in the first two years of a kid's life. Now, I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I certainly believe it. I'm still tired from those first six months. -- Telegraph Diablo Cody, the awesome brainpower behind Juno, had a baby boy named Marcello. -- Celebrity Baby Blog I love these tips for raising a daughter, especially the tip to "pick your battles wisely." Although I think that applies to all kids. -- BabyCenter So, you have two kids, but how important is it for them to have their own rooms? Interesting poll. -- LilSugar

Any great baby links you care to share?

It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets—we won't tell.

    This Week's Secret:

I've been on three trips in the last three months -- two for work and one to visit a friend -- and each time I've been gone, I left my son with his father without a worry in the world about it.

My husband rarely worries or stresses or obsesses over things like I do when it comes to parenting. He doesn't worry when Kyle is sick, and he doesn't worry about when he hits milestones, and he really doesn't worry when I leave town and he has to solo parent.

I've been in San Diego the last few days for a work trip, and while I'm not thrilled about stepping on the scale when I get back to Texas tomorrow, I've actually gathered some real wisdom about staying healthy and on goal while traveling away from home. (And it doesn't include eating salads every meal!)

I hope this list helps you when you travel next.

In decor and style blogs and magazines lately, I've noticed more and more rooms popping up in a very cool combination of yellow and gray colors. I love the muted neutral of the gray and the bright pop of the yellow, and it comes across as both very grown-up and sophisticated while still being quite cool and modern.

Here are some sample rooms throughout the house, each using this new trendy color combination -- in case you've been toying with the idea of incorporating it into your own home. (Like I have!)

I may be torn on whether or not to have another baby, but that doesn't stop me from forming lots of opinions on which celebrities should be having more cute babies. Here are my top picks for big brother or sister of the year in Hollywood -- all they need is a sibling to make it happen!

So, listen up celebs, here's what I think!

(And obviously what I think is super-important!)
