First, I was an actor for 10 years. Along the way I picked up a great husband & had two boys (7 and 9) whom I adore ... Quit acting for Victoria's Secret corporate, then randomly entered reality television. Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Ever After, VH1's Couples Therapy ... all that stuff. Wrote a book, Little Kids, Big City and now I am a TV host, writer and make kitchen gadgets, while chasing my family around Brooklyn! I joined the Café Mom world via Coffee Shop Confessions and love it!
Wow. When I heard that the reunion special for The Real Housewives of New York City had been cut into three episodes, I was shocked. The opinion across TV ratings and social media was that this season was the worst ever, with the press speculating whether this failure would end the franchise. What a nice surprise, then, to see newbie Kristen Taekman, demoted LuAnn de Lesseps, and demented other cast members (take your pick) step up to the plate and deliver an entertaining hour of television. In today's exclusive episode, I break down part one of the reunion, as well as a very interesting Facebook war that erupted yesterday between Real Housewives of Orange County cast members Tamra Judge and Lizzie Rovsek.
I'm beginning to think the Real Housewives franchise should be re-named Cast vs. Producers. You know, like those video games our kids play -- Plants vs. Zombies or Monsters vs. Aliens. Yes, I know that one's a movie. BUT. Last night on The Real Housewives of Orange County, newbie cast member Lizzie Rovsek had a terrible, terrible birthday. And it was all Tamra Judge's fault. Or was it? In today's exclusive episode, I've got all the dish, plus new developments with Apollo Nida, Phaedra Parks, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
If I were Dina Manzo, I'd be screaming bloody murder this week. Why? Did you catch what the editors of The Real Housewives of New Jersey did to her this week? It's pretty shocking, and in today's new episode below, I break it all down for you. Also, we've got an extra night of Kim Zolciak's Don't Be Tardy, as well as Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Botched. There's a theme with ALL four shows -- how well do they integrate engineered scenes with genuine reality? Which are the most real? The least? Watch below and I'll give you MY opinion!
There's a story making the rounds online about Kim Zolciak Biermann allegedly reenacting the birth of her twins. If you haven't read it, take a look -- a good dozen people sent it to me, so I decided to address it in today's exclusive episode below. Also, there's more to deconstruct about season 3, episode 2 of Don't Be Tardy, as well as the second episodes of two new VH1 series, Candidly Nicoleand LeAnn & Eddie.
Whoa. Tell me what you think here, viewers. First, domestic violence should never be condoned at any time, in any venue, including reality television. However, if you are shooting a reality show, and something happens and is dealt with accordingly, do you go ahead and show it? Today's exclusive episode below takes on relationships and marriage from two different angles, the first with FYI's Married at First Sight, episode 3, and the second with episode 7 of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. One guess as to where the violence erupted, but there was a lot of hope as well. Let's discuss.
