"My parents have a ghost. Her name is Lois and she is very critical of their decorating choices. She built the house and died there. We were the second owners. One story that stands out was when we were wallpapering my childhood bedroom right after we moved (it was 1983) with a Laura Ashley print, [and] all of the paper was peeled off the wall and sitting in piles the next morning. "Lois is the real deal. My brother once woke my mom up in the middle of the night because he wanted the girl dancing at the edge of his bed to go away.
