‘Ghost’ at Haunted Theater Moves a Chair Around (WATCH)

Say what you will about the supernatural and whether or not you believe, there's an intensely creepy moment of a chair moving on its own in a closed theater -- after a psychic finished up his show there.

It was recorded at Brookside Theatre in Romford, Essex, at around 4 a.m. on Sunday. The theater is located in a former war memorial building. Earlier, people had gathered to attend a show by the medium Roy Roberts. He believes the theater now has a "resident ghost."

"When I saw the footage, I jumped up and said, 'Yes, now we have direct proof!'" Can't really get much better publicity if you're a psychic, can ya? No wonder the dude is so damn excited.

But still, it's something you gotta see to believe.

It's tough to see in the grainy footage (why is the footage always grainy?), but the movement is definitely there.

"I had a feeling earlier that there was the presence of something, a playful presence of a child, to one side of the room, and it seems that must have been it," Roberts said. If he was able to stage it somehow, that would have been super-impressive. But he seems equally aghast by what happened -- and, of course, feeling extremely validated.

"People can't dispute that, they will try, but they can't dispute it. I am 100 percent sure that is energy."

The building is apparently the former Romford War Memorial Social Club, to commemorate serving personnel who lost their lives in World War II. Since it was converted to a theater, it seems plenty of paranormal stuff has gone on there. The theater manager, Jai Sepple, said he decided to look at the CCTV footage when he saw one of the chairs askew: "We’ve had so many strange things happen over the years but this has to be the freakiest. When I looked back at the CCTV, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry!"

Ghost, spirit, or a genius prank by Roberts? A blind rat running aimlessly around into the chair? A strange blip in the film footage? It's hard to say for sure, but it sure is creepy all the same!

What do you think made that chair move? Do you believe in ghosts?
