The Miley Cyrus & Max Azria clothing collection has hit local Wal-Mart stores. Some CafeMoms talking about the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria clothing line in Answers think it's cute for a teen. Others think it's too revealing.
The original poster says, "I would never let my teenage daughter walk out of the house looking like a hooker."
KRYSTALxoxo says, "I think it is horrible! Some of it is okay, but most not. My 6 year old really likes [Miley's] style, but I don't think they are things that 6 year olds should wear. [Miley's style] started off okay, but it is getting worse. Of course she thinks she is a teenager already, so that is another story. She has really changed not just in appearance, but the way she dances and everything. It scares me because these kids really look up to her. I just hope we don't have another Brittany Spears on our hands. I know everyone thought well and looked up to her, too, and look how that turned out. These stars just don't realize the pressure they have on them with the young fans wanting to be like them."
Other CafeMoms disagreed or at least felt they could pick and choose from the collection.

There is a piece or two that I would buy my 6yr old sister but most of it looks like it is for high school age kids. I wouldn't let my sister wear the shirt with the vest over top. It brings attention to her chest and at 6yrs NOTHING should bring attention to her chest. Some of it is too revieling but there might be a peice or two that she could wear.
These clothes are not for little kids, they are in juniors sizes. I thought about buying the ruffle top myself.
Has everyone noticed its placed in the juniors, && that she still has her girls line, but her New line is for juniors. which means TEEN & Tweens. Not six year olds. Most of the clothing isn't too bad, its just about the same everywhere else. Im very strick about what my daughter can wear & what she isn't allowed to wear, && most of new line is alright. Some of its ugly, like that shirt with Ruffles. But hey....
Well, there's nothing wrong with the clothing pictured here. Other than what's shown here, I haven't noticed her clothing line. Guess I'll look for it then weekend when I'm at WalMart.
I've seen her clothing at Wal-Mart, and I find nothing wrong with it, honestly. In fact, it's more modest than some of the other clothing there. I saw a pair of shoes I actually liked, haha!
I probably wouldn't buy my tween/ teen the leggings/ tight pants, I think that'll draw a bit too much attention to the tush. lol
Otherwise, I think they're pretty typical clothes for kids that age. I don't see anything wrong with it.
Oh and I agree with lilmoosesmom, these are not clothes for 6 year olds! These are tween and teen clothes! Think 12, 13, 14 year olds, not 5 and 6 year olds.
completely agree with previous posters..this is not a kid line this is for teens...its tshirts n cute tops n jeans...how ur daughter puts it together when she gets home is totally different than what shes selling...hooker? oh please
you see, what really pisses me off, is that my four year old daughter looks up to her, Miley i dont feel is a fit role model, what with the Vanity fair photos, and the uncovered photos from her iPhone... But I cant stop my daughter from seeing and eing exposed to Hannah Montana.. my 14 year old neice says that she was just trying to rid herself from her "Hannah Image" well, Miley will NEVER get rid of her hannah image, when she is about 38 the girls that were 6 and looked up to her as Hannah, will still know her as Hannah. I dont approve of her, I dont think she is doing well being a role model.. the clothes, they arent for 5 year olds... and I think it is just another mauneuver to rid of her Hannah image..
I don't let my five year old watch her show. I think she has no talent (or very little) and I don't want my daughter emulating her.
