Do You Have a Fourth of July Tradition?

This year, Fourth of July finally falls on a Saturday. Hooray!

Most families will enjoy a picnic or barbecued cuisine, ice cold drinks, sunshine (hopefully), maybe some swimming, a little American-flag-waving perhaps, and, come nightfall, a fireworks show of some sort.

What will your family be doing on July 4th? Do you have any unique Independence Day traditions in your family?

this is my mom's fave holiday. its a time for all our family to get together. we go to my oldest sisters for a bbq then to the local fireworks show. after we go back to my sisters and do fireworks there. its a great time and its always fun seeing family, even if we only see some of them once a year!

All my Family comes to my House for a Grill Out,And Fireworks!The Girls Dad goes Crazy with Fireworks,He LOVES them.It's his Favorite Holiday!Sometimes we are able to block off the street,When we start the Fireworks.The Neighbors come to our House also!It's a good time!

we live in a military town so the fourth is huge here. We usually do a grill out with family and the head to thepark where they have an old fashioned fourth of july day comlete with old time prices and foodand games. We watch fireworks while they play patriotic music over the loudspeakers. We come home to a bonfire and then my husband and oldest son shoot off their fireworks display. So much fun!!

Christmas fudge - every fourth of july!!!

My kids asked for the fudge I make at Christmas when they were very little so for about 11 years - I make Christmas fudge on the fourth!!!

My in-laws live out in the country, so we go there for a huge cookout and fireworks show. There is usually about 20 or so of us there. It is a lot of fun!

We go to Florida. We live in NJ and we slave away barbecuing and waste so much $$$. So we go to enjoy our independence as a family away........

We like to have a little family reunion type thing and lots of outdoorsy food,then we light fireworks for the kids and maybe go to a firework show somewhere! I say somewhere cause we live out in the country and have alot of places around us that we can go to! LOL We love 4th of July...
