I posted yesterday about Mattel's Twilight Barbie and Ken Dolls due out in November, but the more I think about this, the more confused I become. Toys "R" Us says the recommended age for the Bella and Edward Cullen dolls are 6 and 7...but are 6- and 7-year-olds even interested in Twilight?
I find this frightening on so many levels—most of all because I finished New Moon two nights ago, and I found the book terrifying with all the werewolves and vampires running around. Seriously, I had nightmares about it. And I'm an adult woman! I can only imagine how scared a 6-year-old would be...
The debate about what age is appropriate for Twilight is nothing new on CafeMom. But Twilight DOLLS targeted to 6- and 7-year-olds may be taking this conversation to a whole different level.
What do you think? Would your 6- or 7-year-old want a Twilight doll?
