Are you starting to feel the impending doom of the long summer days ahead full of bored kids sulking about?
Perhaps a bit of inspiration for summer planning can help.
Just came across this lovely and crafty Family Summer Center over on Craftzine. Maybe creating your own style summer center will help ease the stress of summer planning and make those three months something you look forward to enjoying.
Crafty mamas Bernadette Noll and Kathie Sever of the Future Craft Collective created their Family Summer Center as "a place where the family can come on a lazy or crazy formless summer day to get ideas, prompts, and inspiration towards what to do next."
Their pretty summer organization center creates a place for their families to put their summer intentions, goals, and accomplishments and also includes a re-usable Family Calendar. This is a great way to help kids and parents easily make choices about each summer day's events and to let the kids take active part in the planning and executing.
And don't worry! You don't have to be a master crafter. Adapt your summer center anyway you like—on a bulletin board, with cardboard and paints, whatever works for you.
