Are you"friends?"
I swore I'd never tell this story, but a few weeks ago on a rare nightly outing, I went with my husband to a hot club. Who do I see on the line? Our once teenage babysitter. I was aghast! Actually, it wasn't that big of a deal--I didn't look out of place and really neither did she--but I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I am old enough to be her mother. In fact, her mom is my friend.
This funny incident made me think about something else major beside music (and hot clubs) that two generations of people share--Twitter, Facebook and Myspace.

no, my kids are grown.....and dont have any facebook accounts............but i am friends with some of my former fourth graders that are now in high school.........LOL.....
I requested my son who is 15 yrs old as a friend on Myspace..he was reluctant to accept..I am on Facebook and my son requested ME as a friend.. LOL...So yes we are friends I only use Facebook but I keep my account with Myspace just because of him...
I am friends with my sons on myspace, I like to know who they are friends with and what is going on in their inner circle. Sometimes kids don't tell you the whole truth, but check MYSPACE AND whatever it don't lie...you just have to learn to read the code......
My son is only 7 months old, so he won't be having a myspace for awhile! I am "friends" with my mom though.
I joined Facebook to keep an eye on my kids--and I can also keep in touch with the older ones that are out on their own! : )
my parents are both on facebook and yes we are friends. I'm not a teenager any more though. My teen sisters are friends with parents on there too :)
I got a myspace and facebook to help keep in touch with my friends from the different states we've lived in... my 13 yr old just recently got a myspace, and one of the rules was that I had to be on her friends so I could keep an eye on who she's "hanging out" with, and I've got my teenage neice and friends' kids on there too. However, my facebook is just for my "adult" friends, that way I can vent about my kids if I need to without my daughter reading it, lol
Im not a teen but I do have my mom and aunt as friends on facebook ;)
OMG my teen left FB because of me! I am the "only" mom on FB, according to her.
My daughter in law (who is 26) and I are friends on FB, my 17yo son's 17yo gf and I are friends on FB and my 18yo son and I are friends on FB. Most of my friends on FB are people close to me in age (late 30's/early 40's) and we have teens and adult children. Those who aren't my age are my son, my daughter in law, my son's gf, a 21yo cousin, a 19yo cousin and a few of my older 2 sons friends from high school who were around our house a lot (they are in their early 20's). It's not a big issue that I am also on FB.
