Okay, I got this idea from a mom who posted this same poll question in Just For Fun. She was asking about the size of moms' beds, but I'm curious about your children's beds.
My 3 and 5-year-old boys have twin bunks. At first my big one was in a day bed (mine from college) while the little one was still in the crib, but by the time baby bros feet were practically sticking out of one end of the crib (LOL!)--not to mention the fact that the day bed had seen better days--we knew something else had to happen.
Thus, the bunk bed situation. We ordered it online. Putting it together took a crazy long time, but believe me, these fellas will have this thing long enough to take to college themselves!

My dd (20m) went right from a crib to a toddler bed @ 8 months (she got out of her crib then so I made it a toddler bed so she didnt hurt herself) into the spare room on the queen (my mom was staying with us as I was about to have our ds) so we kicked "grandma" out of the bed and put dd in the queen and shes been there ever since. Never once has she fallen out of the bed either.. And now I don't have to buy her another bed!!
Should Kid go Public school or private school?
My daughter has a full size bed but we might give her my bed which is a queen so we can get a king and put her full bed in the soon to be nursery for when the baby gets bigger and for my sleepless nights.
my two kids sleep with us on our King size bed. But some nights our oldest doen not want to sleep with us so I put her on the couch. She has a bed but she does not like it.
My kids went from crib to twin bed, my son at just before 2 (I was beating my brains out to be able to get the crib out of sight few months before the baby) and my daughter at 15 months (after the second time she bailed out over the side.) I used a bed rail to help with the initial adjustment and never had a problem with either of them. My son has the bunk beds from my childhood -- I converted them into a loft bed set for him.
My 7-year-old daughter has a twin-sized loft bed. She loves it...it has sheers hanging down from the rails so she has her own little area underneath. She has a tv, dvd player, bookcase and beanbag chair underneath where she can hang out!
My 3 yo DD has a queen sized canopy bed, it used to be in my room and we got a new bed, when she outgrew her toddler bed (she is tall) we had that bed in the garage and decided to use it rather than buy a new one. We spray painted it pink first though. She loves it, and actually it works good if she doesn't feel good, I can lay with her in her room rather than mine. DS has a loft bed with a slide, he is 5 yo and baby sleeps in a crib still or our bed.
my 3 and 6 yr olds have a bunkbed. 2mo old DD so-sleeps w/ me in our queen size bed. We don't do cribs. When we transition out of our bed we do a crib mattress on the floor beside our bed
My 5 yr old got into a twin size bed when he was 3. Before that it was a toddler bed. He has handed it down to his 2 yr old sister who got in it when she was 18 months b/c she needed to hand over the crib to her little brother who outgrew the bassinet in mommy's room.
Other.
My kiddo has a big tent shaped like a castle in his room, and the base is round... sooo, he sleeps on a papason chair pad in his castle.
