In the new issue of People magazine, First Lady Michelle Obama breaks down how her children are living in the White House. In many ways, it's just the same as it ever was.
They still very much have chores. According to People, "They're still making their own beds, cleaning their rooms and clearing their dishes. And even with their grandmother, Marian Robinson, 71, staying in a third-floor guest room to help out, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, must show responsibility."
Mrs. Obama has even asked the White House staff to take it easy on spoiling the girls with special treatment. "People want to make your life easy, and when you have small kids - I've explained this to the staff - they don't need their lives to be easy. They're kids," she says in the issue.
But even with some rules regarding responsibility, the sisters can still pop up on their President dad in the Oval Office whenever they want. I remember going to my father's job on occasion--talk about fun!
What do you think about the First Lady's plans to keep her daughters grounded? (Please, remember this isn't political!)
