If you saw the Grammys last night, you know that Chris Brown didn't perform his scheduled "Forever"
onstage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Why you ask? Oh, because the 19-year-old singer was busy being questioned by police for allegedly beating up his girlfriend Rihanna.
The details from the The Los Angles Times:
The alleged incident was reported about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in Hancock Park.
Brown and Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, were apparently in a car together and got into an argument on North June Street, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement. Brown stopped the car, the two got out, and the argument escalated, according to police.
A witness called 911, but Brown was gone when officers arrived at the scene. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker, according to police.
Brown and Rihanna had appeared together Saturday night at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy gala in Beverly Hills.
Shortly before the Grammy show began at 5 p.m. at Staples Center, Grammy officials issued a statement saying, "We have just been informed Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Grammy Awards. Rihanna will not be performing. We are sorry to see she is unable to join us this evening.”
Both singers canceled their performances at last night's Grammy Awards. At 6:30pm, Brown turned himself in to the LAPD's Wilshire station and was booked on suspicion of making criminal
threats. Here's the video of his arrest.
With this one, I'm much too heart broken to speculate. Ironically, not to long ago I wrote a post on the viciousness of teen dating abuse. Let's hope this Chris Brown mess is all a big misunderstanding (wishful thinking?), and the the guy that teen girls love to love is no abuser.

My teen and I like Chris Brown but we LOVE Rihanna and we're both hoping she hasn't been the victim of abuse. If she has, I hope she is able to draw the line with him right there and set an example for women everywhere to just say no to the chances of further abuse.
thats sad . I think I wold almost rather have seen him arrested for drug charges . .
The reason she pulled out of the Grammy performance is because he REALLY beat her up. There was too much damage to cover up with makeup and she had to cancel.
What a jerk. Poor Rihanna
rhianonmat that may be so but then again it could have been because she simply didn't feel like performing after an incident like that. I don't think I would. It was probably a combination of the two.
But man...I do feel sorry for her. And I used to be a fan of him--I thought he was faily decent and clean cut compared to his contemporaries. But after this....I guess not.
WoW! I am shocked to hear this. I honestly do not want to believe that he did something like that. If this is true, he has disappointed alot of people and hurt his career.
Last I heard, he was arrested for suspicion of making a criminal threat, not domestic violence but I could be behind on my updates. While that's still a bad thing, I really hope it's a big misunderstanding. I'm not a huge fan of eithier of them but they seemed like a nice couple. I hope it all comes out ok in the end.
Dang i love the both of them. i'm very shock if chris brown did this.
this is one relationship where I always thought that Rihanna wouldn't take that crap and whoop his ass.
Sad that this stuff happens. I watched my dad beat the crap out of my step-mom for years. It sticks with ya.
Very sad to see people that are "idols" to our young ones acting like this.. but these things happened... we as parents should take this and turn it into a teaching experience for our children.
Other thought... why we always blame it on the man? maybe she became violent and he pushed her or something and she is exaggerating... guess we will never know, but I don't understand why everyone always sympathizes with women... I have known of women that are violent and attack men and when the man pushes them or smack them (not that I think this is ok) then they cry wolf and call the police and make a report. I think men and women should keep there hands to themselves.. if you hit you need to be prepared to get hit.. My parents never hit me and they tought me never to disrespect a man and hit him, because if I did then I was just opening myself to be disrespected. I dont know Chris and I dont know Rihanna, but I do know that stardom goes to your head.. so who knows what happened there.
They never said that he hit Rihanna. LOL People are assuming. There was an altercation of some type. He was arresting for threats. The story is on Yahoo! ((Not sure if I can post a link here or not))
